Garda Golf

Lake Garda has been a loved vacation destination for years for vacationers from all over the world. Many return year after year because, even after numerous visits already made, this vacation region still offers something new to discover with many surprises at hand. Lake Garda became a second home to us editors many years ago and we are delighted to give you some highlights:

Parco Natura Viva Garda

Wild animals experience at the car safari

There is a really special zoo in Bussolengo just south of Lake Garda: Parco Natura Viva. While driving your own car through the landscape you can admire wild animal life. Driving through the rhino section is particularly spectacular. Watching a rhino with an approximate weight of 3 tons and a length of approximately 6mts standing just 3mts away is really something else – but don't worry about your car! A really worthwile roadtrip – it is better however not doing it during high season.

Activities Lake Garda

Varied Golf- and Ski-Rally

Lake Garda is an all-year-around golf destination. Within only an hour by car you will find wonderful ski regions such as Folgaria, Monte Bondone (Trento) or Paganella. Combine the two activies – one day of golf, the next day testing the ski slopes – and we'll guarantee you 100 % of fun!

Hiking trails Monte Baldo

The national park Monte Baldo

Drive to Prada through Torri del Benaco, Albisano and San Zeno. Here you will find the chair lift Costabello that in two separate stages will bring you up to the top of Monte Baldo. If you're the more sporty type you can also walk from Prada all the way up to the top. In the cottage at the end station Adriano awaits you with a substantial “pasta asciutta”. The panoramic view of Lake Garda from this spot is breathtaking. For especially trained car drivers we suggest the road from Prada towards Castelleto/Brenzone. This is a very narrow and steep road that will bring you from 1.000 to 60 mts above sea level with some stunning sceneries on its way.

Here you will find further information about hiking around Lake Garda.

The ferry crossover, with its lovely view of Monte Baldo, Monte Pizzocolo and the northern part of Lake Garda, takes approximately 20 minutes.

The lively city with the famous Arena, the Dome, Piazza Erbe, the shopping street Via Mazzini and the many lovely bars and restaurants all promise an amusing stay. You should try it too!

Romantic boat trip Mincio

Off the beaten track

In Mantova the river Mincio spreads in many directions creating a vast river area. In this area you can admire still standing lotus flowers planted in the penultimate century. It is outright impressive to take a boat trip in August, the blossoming season of the lotus flowers, with the Mantova silhouette in the background. Very romantic! Cost per person from 8 Euro.
